Happy Monday.
Somebody on your team wrote that ChatGPT ad, argued about the headline and picked the landing page on purpose.
From the end of this week, OpenAI gets to rewrite it.
Advertisers got an email last Tuesday saying OpenAI will switch on "creative enhancements" for new and existing self-serve campaigns, Search Engine Roundtable reported.
The system reads the conversation, your ad and your landing page, then can write new headlines and descriptions, translate the ad into another language, resize images and "optimize" the destination URL, which means sending the click to a different page on your site.
Nobody has to sign off. "When enabled, these ads can run automatically without requiring you to review or approve each version," the email says. OpenAI's help page adds: "The experience does not provide a preview of every variation."
Now the date, which OpenAI can't seem to settle. The email says Friday, October 30. PPC Land found the help page saying Thursday, October 29 when it checked on the 21st. When I read it today it said "Starting Thursday, October 31, 2026," and October 31 is a Saturday. I'd treat Thursday as the deadline.
The opt-out is in Ads Manager, at account or campaign level. PPC Land notes one toggle covers all four kinds of change, so you can't keep the resized images and refuse the new headlines.
Its engineers wrote last week that ChatGPT Ads passed $1 billion in annualized run rate less than 200 days after launch, and that more than 100,000 advertisers have run ads. If you buy self-serve, your copy gets rewritten by default.
Here's the line I'd read twice. The help page says "Changes over time do not, on their own, establish the effect of creative enhancements." So if results go up in November, you won't know whether the rewrite did it. PPC Land points out the page doesn't describe any reporting that separates enhanced versions from your originals.
If you sell anything regulated, I'd opt out now and test it on one campaign later. Everyone else should at least decide on purpose.
So who on your team is opening Ads Manager before Thursday?

The AI notetaker that gets the hard words right
Your AI is only as good as what you feed it. Feed it a transcript with your product names, acronyms, and numbers spelled wrong, and you spend the afternoon hand-fixing the output.
Wispr Flow Notetaker uses your dictionary and calendar, so product names, acronyms, numbers, and uncommon names come out spelled right. It pops up when your meeting starts and captures Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Slack huddles with one click, no bot joining the call.
Then your meetings show up inside Claude or ChatGPT through the built-in connector. No copy paste. Try Notetaker free on Mac and Windows.

Now give one model the job of rewriting every advertiser's ad to fit the same conversation. Copying playbooks was the slow version.

NUMBERS MATTER
64%. That's the share of US B2C marketing executives who think their own use of AI is likely to produce a brand-damaging incident within 12 months, from Forrester's Q3 2026 CMO Pulse Survey, in its 2027 predictions published last Wednesday.
Forrester doesn't publish the sample size. I'd bet far fewer have written down who pulls the ad.
DAILY PROMPT
Our Landing Page Ad Message Match Analyzer, for the pages OpenAI might send your clicks to instead:
You are an expert marketing strategist specializing in conversion optimization and ad-to-landing page alignment.
Analyze the ad copy and landing page below for message match, consistency, and conversion potential. If a live URL is provided, fetch the page yourself and read what a visitor actually sees above the fold, including headline, subhead, CTA labels, form fields, and proof elements. If I attach ad exports, screenshots, or analytics files, use them as the source of truth over any summary. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve the journey from click to conversion.

## Landing Page Content
[PASTE YOUR LANDING PAGE HEADLINE, SUBHEADING, AND KEY BODY COPY HERE]
## Instructions
Evaluate the following dimensions:
1. **Message Alignment**: Does the landing page immediately reinforce the primary promise made in the ad? Rate alignment 1-10 and explain any gaps.
2. **Value Proposition Clarity**: Is the core benefit stated consistently across both ad and page? Identify any shifts in messaging or emphasis.
3. **Call-to-Action Consistency**: Does the CTA on the landing page match the implied action in the ad? Flag any misalignment.
4. **Tone and Voice Match**: Is the language, formality level, and personality consistent? Note any jarring transitions.
5. **Visual/Copy Hierarchy**: Does the landing page prioritize the same value prop the ad emphasized, or does it shift focus?
## Output Format
Provide:
- A 1-10 alignment score with brief justification
- 3-5 specific gaps or inconsistencies
- 3-5 concrete recommendations to improve message match
- Estimated impact on conversion rate (low/medium/high)
Be direct and actionable. Focus on conversion impact, not creative preferences. State which claims you verified from the live page or attached files and which are inferred. Then ask me what you would need to tighten the analysis, for example segment-level conversion data or the full ad set.Run your ChatGPT ad against every page it could plausibly land on, including the one you picked. A low score is a reason to opt out.

BRAND SLOP
Just Eat had been testing AI pictures for dishes restaurants hadn't photographed, each labeled as AI. The model took the menus literally, the BBC reports. A Belfast cafe's bacon and egg soda bread became "a glass of fizzy drink with a cooked egg and bacon floating in it." A cheese roll turned into sushi.

Just Eat apologized, is removing the images and has paused the rollout. "We've been trialling AI-enhanced images and as with any new technology, it isn't always quite right the first time," a spokesperson told the Independent.
In Belfast, soda is bread. If OpenAI translates your ad into another language this week, who on your team reads it?
